JR & SR HIGH YOUTH GROUP
We’re excited to kick off Youth Group again on Wednesday, January 8! Each night starts with a shared meal, which is always a highlight for the kids. To keep this tradition going, we’re inviting families to sign up to provide a meal. The signup link can be found in the “Helpful Links” section on the homepage of both our website and church app. If no one has signed up by 5:00 pm on Tuesday, we’ll send out a message and cancel the meal for that night.
We understand that everyone’s ability to help looks different. Some families may feel blessed to provide a meal more than once, while others contribute in other meaningful ways. If you’re only able to provide part of a meal or would prefer to contribute monetarily, let us know, and we’ll make it work! As a church, let’s work together to support one another and ensure these meals happen. If others in the congregation are interested in helping, please let us know! Every effort helps.
CHRISTMAS CAROLING
Are Joy to the World, Silent Night and We Wish you a Merry Christmas some of your favorite songs to sing? We need you for the best River of LIFE caroling experience ever! The whole family is invited! We will meet at 4:00 pm this afternoon here at River of LIFE. We will carol for about an hour and a half and then meet up again at church for pizza and Christmas treats. If you know for sure you’re coming, please sign up on the sheet in the narthex. If not, just meet us at church at 4:00pm. We’d still love to have you! And if you know someone who would appreciate a caroling visit, please let Kim Wernsing or Jim Christenson know.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The River of LIFE Board of Directors is seeking individuals who are interested in serving on the board. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the leadership and mission of our church. If you feel called to serve, please speak with Pastor or one of the current board members to learn more about this important role.
SAVE THE TREES!
Please save any fake Christmas Trees that you or anyone you know plan on getting rid of after Christmas. We'll take all sizes: tall, short, super short, skinny, fluffy, whatever. We'll be using them for VBS 2025! Talk to Dawn Eberhart with any questions.
GARAGE SALE ITEMS
Are you cleaning out your closets, decluttering your house, or planning to donate to a thrift store? Consider bringing your items to church to support the River of LIFE Youth Group's Huge Spring Garage Sale Fundraiser! Proceeds will go toward their July 2025 trip to New Orleans. Donations of clean, good-condition items can be placed in the hallway across from the water fountain. The sale is tentatively scheduled for the week after Easter. Thank you for supporting the Youth Group's trip to The Gathering!
DECEMBER GIVING MAKES A DIFFERENCE!
Did you know that nearly 30% of charitable giving occurs in the month of December? This past Tuesday, we kicked off our end of the year fundraising campaign. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the Mission of River of Life Lutheran. Your contributions go far beyond the Sunday Morning service. We offer bible studies, outreach in the community and fellowship opportunities. The board and staff have some great ideas that we would like to implement in 2025. We are currently in need of $50,000 to keep our budget on target.
