SHIFT CHANGE: A DAY OF WELLNESS & COMMUNITY
On Friday, April 26, from 7:00am-4:00pm, River of LIFE Church will host Shift Change, a special event presented by The Brothers “In Law” in partnership with Healing Heroes. This day of wellness includes sauna and cold plunge therapy, live entertainment from Kern Brothers Entertainment, and a corn hole tournament with cash prizes. The mission of The Brothers “In Law” is to bridge the gap between first responders and the communities they serve. Proceeds from the event will support their scholarship fund. More information about registration can be found on the flyer in the church narthex. Questions? Reach out to Dustin Struckman for more information.
SEDER MEAL
Join us for a Passover Seder meal tonight or Tuesday @ 6:30pm. The full experience will last about an hour and fifteen minutes. You should plan to eat dinner before or after. Spots are limited to 25 people per night to keep the gathering manageable, and more dates may be added if needed. Sign-up is available online or at church. We look forward to sharing this special evening with you.
BINGO FUNDRAISER @ REDMEN CLUB
Join us for a fun afternoon of Bingo at the Redmen Club on Saturday, April 19, at 2:00pm! The more people we have there, the more money we make. All the money raised goes to support our youth who are attending the National Youth Gathering in New Orleans this summer. The more Bingo cards we sell, the more funds we raise, so bring a friend (or two) and help us make this trip possible for our students. It’s a simple way to show your support and have some fun while doing it!
CONGREGATIONAL VOTERS MEETING
There will be a congregational voter’s meeting following worship on Sunday, April 27. Meals on Wheels, a program of Lutheran Social Services, has been using space in our church recently. We’ll be discussing the potential for an ongoing arrangement and invite you to stay and be part of the conversation.
SUPPORT OUR YOUTH: ENVELOPE FUNDRAISER!
Our youth are heading to the National Youth Gathering in New Orleans this summer, and they need your help to raise money for airfare, registration, and food for 19 people. One way to support them is through our envelope fundraiser. You just need to pick an envelope (or envelopes) from the fundraiser wall, put in the dollar amount listed, and return it with your donation. If every envelope is filled, we will raise $11,325! We are also hosting other fundraisers, including the Easter Breakfast, a garage sale, Bingo, Gertens flower fundraiser, and more to be determined. Each participant is also contributing personally toward the trip.
GARAGE SALE ITEMS
We’re especially in need of hangers for the upcoming Youth Garage Sale Fundraiser, happening April 24-26. If you have any to spare, please bring them next Sunday. We’re also collecting plastic bags and would be grateful to borrow any clothes racks you’re willing to lend. This is a great way to support our youth while doing a little spring cleaning at home! If you would like to come help set up, join us on Monday, April 21st @ 9:00am here at the church.
