Sr High Youth group is meeting at the church tonight at 6:00pm. Jr High Youth Group is meeting on Wednesday at 6:00pm.
CHRISTMAS PROGRAM
All Sunday School Families (preschool-Grade 6) need to complete a participation survey for this year’s Christmas program. We have paper copies or an online option. The Children’s Christmas Program will be held Sunday, December 18th during the 10:30 service. Get involved, here are our needs: Pianist (for traditional songs), Staging, Lighting, Costumes / Props
OCTOBERFEST / FALL FESTIVAL
Join us at River of LIFE for our Fall Festival! October 30th, 4:00pm to 7:00pm We will be serving German food and also kid-friendly food. We will have entertainment for all ages: games, crafts, treats, and a car show. Bring your classic car or any vehicle that you want to show off! Bring your outdoor yard games.
CHRISTMAS PROGRAM COSTUMES
We are looking for a few people to make some costumes for this year’s Christmas program. Let us know if you can help out in this way. We have a Thrivent grant to cover the costs.
CLEANUP / FALL WORKDAY
Many hands makes light work. Join us on Sat, Oct 29 for Fall cleanup. 9am - noon There will some indoor and some outdoor jobs. Fun for everyone!
POINSETTIAS
Traditionally our church has been decorated during the Advent Season with poinsettias in memory or honor of loved ones. Order forms can be found in the narthex & on our website. Cost is $14 and orders due Nov 13.
THANKSGIVING DECORATIONS
We are looking for fall/harvest related items that can be used to decorate the altar area for Thanksgiving. Examples include but not limited to: cornstalks, squash, ornamental corn, harvest wheat etc. Let us know if you have something to donate so that we can coordinate.
CHURCH APPAREL ONLINE STORE
Coming soon! We will be opening up an online apparel store through United Team Elite. We will have a select number of items that you can purchase with the River of LIFE logo on them.
FIRST COMMUNION CLASS
Children (and anyone) interested in learning more about the Sacrament of Holy Communion are encouraged to attend a one-day First Communion Class. The actual celebration of First Communion will be scheduled based on families’ schedules. Class is scheduled for November 19th 9am-noon.
MISSION TRIP TO GUATEMALA
We are having an informational meeting to learn more about a mission trip opportunity to Guatemala. If you are interested in going, but unable to attend this meeting talk to Pastor Brian and he will get you the information. Sunday, November 6 @ 9:30am in the narthex.
