Dear Friends in Christ - We would like to thank everyone who helped us move in September. We are so blessed with a wonderful church family and friends. The amount of love that was shown on that day was amazing. From the trucks, trailers, muscle, sweat, prayers and food that was provided was overwhelming and we are so so thankful for all. LEARN MORE ABOUT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Over the next few weeks, we will be having short informational meetings between worship services where we will talk about different volunteer opportunities we have. We will explain about what each volunteer role’s duties are and how are scheduling process works. Next week, October 9th we will talk about serving communion and ushering. No obligation to sign up if you attend, just come for the info. 9:30 in the narthex.
CHRISTMAS PROGRAM
Children’s Christmas Program will be held Sunday, December 18th during the 10:30 service. We need help with: Music Director & Pianist (for traditional songs), Staging, Lighting, Costumes / Props, Livestream, Special Music Coordinator
OCTOBERFEST / FALL FESTIVAL
Join us at River of LIFE for our Fall Festival! October 30th, 4:00pm to 7:00pm We will be serving German food and also kid-friendly food. We will have entertainment for all ages: games, crafts, treats, and a car show. Bring your classic car or any vehicle that you want to show off! We are also inviting our area law enforcement and public service vehicles to participate. If you'd like to help, please talk to Kate Meyer.
THRIVENT ACTION TEAM GRANT
Have you used your Thrivent Action Team grants for this year? If you have one available, we have a need that we would like for someone to request. Please talk to Tracy for more information.
CHRISTMAS PROGRAM COSTUMES
We are looking for someone to make us a few costumes for this year’s Christmas program. Let us know if you can help out in this way.
YOUTH GROUPS
Sr High Youth Group (Grades 9-12) is meeting tonight @ 6:30pm at the Friends Bldg (old Soderlund Drug Bldg.). Jr High Youth Group (Grades 5-8) meets this week, Wed., Oct 12 @ 6pm at River of LIFE. Meal will be provided for Jr High.
CLEANUP / FALL WORKDAY
Many hands makes light work. Join us on Sat, Oct 29 for Fall cleanup. 9am - noon There will some indoor and some outdoor jobs. Fun for everyone!
