Sending Good News, Great Joy through the power of a simple gift.
River of LIFE Lutheran Church is partnering with Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization, in the global mission project, “Operation Christmas Child.” This project brings Great Joy and Hope to children in desperate situations in over 100 countries and makes disciples of nations by sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ through gift-filled shoeboxes delivering personal care items, small toys, and yours and God’s love.
We invite you to watch this video explaining the mission’s project https://video.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child-overview-2024/
GET INVOLVED:
Families and individuals can make meaningful memories and perhaps start a new tradition this Christmas season by giving and praying for children in need, as the LORD says, "It is more blessed to give than to receive" (Acts 20:35), while focusing on the true meaning of Christmas—Jesus Christ.
1. PACK A SHOEBOX: pack a shoebox or build one online using the link below
2. DONATE: drop your donation in the collection box on the display table
3. PRAY: pray for the children receiving shoeboxes and the families and communities to be receptive and transformed by the Good News of Jesus Christ
Please return your shoeboxes to the display in the narthex by noon on Sunday, November 24th
